What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored by your browser on your hard drive or in your terminal at the consultation of a website.
The cookie allows the site or the online service to identify your device for the limited lifetime of the cookie. A cookie can only identify a machine and a browser and by no means a person.
All browsers have an option to disable the storage of cookies. Nevertheless if you disable cookies, some online services may be unavailable or do not work properly.
Your browser also offers the option to delete all the stored cookies, or those of a particular domain. This operation erases the previous data, but when you will use the service again, it will automatically recreate a new cookie.

This site stores different cookies, some are specific to this site and others to third parties services for statistics, advertising or for sharing on social networks purposes.

Cookies specifics to this site

This site may store cookies for its own use. These cookies do not contain any personal data. They are used to temporarily store the characteristics of your terminal to optimize the display of pages or photos.

Cookies may also store temporary states of a feature offered on this website. For instance the list of the photos you have chosen for a calendar or the state of a puzzle. In all cases, these cookies are used only during the execution of the corresponding feature.

Third-party cookies

Third party services used on this site are also likely to store cookies in your terminal. This is essentially for statistics, advertising and sharing on social networks.

- Statistics

Statistics implemented on this site gathers only general data on visits, page views and features used. Statistics cannot, in any way, identify a visitor in particular. The statistics service is configured so that no personal, demographic or visitor interests data are exploited.

- Advertising

This site displays advertisements chosen from the theme of the page and possibly targeted based on your interests deducted from your previous browsing.

If you no longer wish to be subjected to this type of targeting and to the corresponding tracing, rather than disable it on each new site you visit, which can be tedious and ineffective, we recommend to directly inhibit the tracing at once with companies that provide online advertisements.

To do this you have two ways:

- For advertising provided by Google, largely the most used, go to this page https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads?hl=de
In the "Opt-out settings", you can disable the interst-based advertising on the Google search results (link at left) or on all websites (link at right).

- For other companies, the "European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance" (EDAA), including 87 companies in Europe, offers an application to manage your preferences regarding advertising cookies: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/
This page analyses the cookies on your device and allows you to accept or deny the overall advertising cookies for all agencies. You can also exercise your choice unitarily for each company listed. Note that Google and Addthis (see "Social Networks" section below) are among the companies managed by this application.

- Social Networks

The Addthis sharing bar is likely to store a cookie. If you want to disable this feature, you can run the function by clicking the "opt-out" button on this page http://www.addthis.com/privacy/opt-out
Note that this applies not only here but also to all sites implementing the Addthis sharing bar or its variants. Also note that the company Addthis is listed in the application EDAA above.

Facebook store a cookie if you click "LikeIt" on certain pages of this site, or if you visit this site while logged into your Facebook account.
