Domain of Coubertin

Dating from the XVIth century, this domain has been the property of the family of Coubertin until 1974. One of the most famous member of this family was the Baron Pierre de Coubertin who was at the origin of modern Olympic Games.

The castle was built at the end of the XVIIth century. In the park, small but full of charm, the amateurs of beautiful trees can admire the magnificent bearing of a Lebanon Cedar.

The domain is today the place of the Foundation of Coubertin, created by Yvonne de Coubertin and the sculptor Jean Bernard.

The Foundry of Coubertin carries out orders for artists and also carries on an activity of restoration of the artistic and architectural heritage.

Jean Bernard's and other sculptors's works are presented to the public in the garden next to the castle, said Garden of Bronzes.
